Welcome to the Bead Hive, Where Things are Always Buzzin’!
We are a new full service bead store that specializes in seed
beads, Delica beads, crystals, pearls, Czech glass and so much
more. We have a huge selection of Japanese seed beads, including
Matsuno, Myuki and Toho beads in sizes 6, 8, 11 and 15. We carry
the Myuki Duracoat line and the Toho Permanent Finish line.
There’s no doubt about it - we are THE place for seed beads in
this area!
We also have a wide range of classes for every skill level,
starting with Basic Stringing and basic bead stitches up to
advanced projects for the beader who just wants to keep
growing and learning. We are having some of the top
teachers in the country come and share their expertise with
our customers. In June, the Queen of Kumihimo, Sheilah
Cleary, will be here from Laguna, CA. In September, we
will welcome June Huber from Dallas, TX., and next
April, we will have the honor of hosting Diane Fitzgerald
at our store. Along with the “Big Guns”, we have many
wonderful classes with well known local artists, including
Diane Hertzler, Wendy Ellsworth, Dottie Hoeschen, Linda Gettings,
Sue Quinque, Judy Bollinger and many more.
We have parties available for both adults and children, and we
do special children’s programs on occasion. We also have monthly
“Bead Addicts’ Night Out” on the second Tuesday of each month from
6:00 - 8:30 pm, free of charge. Even if the store is closed (we will
be closed on Tuesdays for the summer starting July 6), we will
be open for the Bead Night!
Most importantly, we specialize in “Service with a Smile”! Our
staff is knowledgeable and always ready to help your beading
endeavors in any way we can. If you ask us something to which
we do not know the answer, we will do everything we can to
find out for you. If there is something particular you are looking
for and we don’t have it in stock, we will do our best to get it
for you. We want to make your experience at The Bead Hive
a great one so you will return time and again, and tell all your
beady friends about us, too!
